A little about me...
I am an educator and world traveler on a mission to help children experience the wonderful and interesting world we live in, through books, songs, videos, speaking events, games, and cool characters.
The Team
Klara The CowKlara The Cow is a cute loveable calf with big soft eyes and a large pink nose. She has a special talent that excites all the farming community and her special friend Farmer Rale. Even the Prince of Swede wanted her to come and live at his castle.
LunaLuna is a bird from South America, she is royalty and comes from a special tribe in the equilateral rainforest. She is educated and very sophisticated with her fashionable clothes and accessories. Luna loves going on adventures with her special friend Alook.

Alook
Alook is eager to learn more about the world we live in and his enthusiasm for nature and other cultures comes through with his rhyming stories and songs. He has an enchanted bead that is magical and a travel journal that leads him onto his next journey.
Chuck the Chook
Chuck The Chook is a very funny chicken, he has a quirky silly personality. Chuck has a special unusual talent, which brings him sadness as well as happiness. Chuck ends up helping the local community farm with his bravery and uniqueness.

DobbyDobby is a Blue Heeler Australian Cattle Dog that has a lot of energy and loves his family to pieces. He especially enjoys taking long walks with his family. His favourite sport is playing with his frisbee and chasing cats.

Growing-up and living as a third culture child played a huge part in how I see the world today. I was born in the United Kingdom and migrated to Africa as a wee dot, which was just the beginning of my journey, after which I ventured on to America, New Zealand, back to several European countries and Hong Kong. I recently moved to the East Coast of America, this is where I currently reside with my husband of 37 years. This lifestyle provides me an opportunity to see how amazing and incredible our Planet Earth really is.

Many years ago, I thought about developing a character that could help educate and entertain the children and youth of the world. I had a vision of sharing my experiences of the people I have met, the way they lived their lives, what they did for fun, the foods they ate and the multicultural global lifestyles they led. My character needed to navigate from country to country. Since birds migrate long distances and can move freely around the globe, I knew my main character had to be a bird. My first character is called Alook; he is a big, funny, clumsy and quirky creature, who is very curious and always inquisitive.

With fun and friendly puppets engaging us throughout, my daughter and I found ourselves prancing, singing and doing the limbo amongst the fun games. Kimberley's lovely stories (fabulously read) allowed our imaginations to run as wild as they wanted whilst we settled down to listen in between the musical madness not to mention whilst it was going on sometimes! The fun seemed endless and with our goodie bag in hand we happily headed home feeling light as feathers! Thank you all at Koolamundo for a magical adventure we won't forget! Looking forward to the next one.
